Exciting News - July 22, 2024
The News.
We have decided to begin accepting swimming reservation for a limited capacity of swimmers. Our five individual hot pool can now be reserved online for a two hour block which will also include access to the main pool. General pool access will remain closed to the public and only those who have reserved the individual hot pools will have access to the pools.
Why the change
October 2022 we decided to close Banbury in order to focus on some needed work on our infrastructure, mainly our aging waste treatment system. Banbury is over 100 years old and could not keep up with today's demands. We did not anticipate being closed for so long but soon realized it was not going to be easy to get the proper approval and permits. We have remained closed to the general public but have used Banbury for some small groups and overflow camping for Miracle Hot Springs. We have also been open for river access to kayakers and boaters. This was about all the capacity we felt we could handle at the time. We are now happy to say we have secured permits to proceed with our plan to put in a new waste water treatment system that will allow Banbury to function at full capacity for another 100 years. Due to its cost and being a complicated system it will take some time to fund and build this new system, but we are committed to making Banbury a memorable place for generations to come. Other remodeling is in the plans but not until this first step is completed.
In the meantime we have decided to begin accepting swimming reservation for a limited capacity of swimmers. Our five individual hot pool can now be reserved online for a two hour block which will also include access to the main pool. General pool access will remain closed to the public and only those who have reserved the individual hot pools will have access to the pools. We will also continue to have limited camping and river access for those who want to visit this unique area of the magic valley.
